Important payment information for international students

International students will need to pay a deposit once all other conditions of their offer have been met.

The exact amount will be outlined in the "You can now pay your deposit and provide proof of payment" email. The remaining 50% needs be paid in full three months after the course start date.

Please note this policy applies to applicants before enrolment. Once an international student is enrolled, they are subject to London Met’s policies and regulations for enrolled students.

Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds of deposits will be considered under the following circumstances:
 
1. Visa Refusal - Full refunds will be issued for visa refusals, provided:
  • The refusal does not fall under the non-refundable circumstances below.
  • The applicant submits evidence from the UKVI, including refusal documentation within 4 weeks of receiving the visa refusal.
  • The applicant follows London Met’s guidance regarding the visa process

2. Withdrawal Before CAS Issuance - Applicants who withdraw their application prior to receiving a CAS are eligible for a full refund.

3. Travel Restrictions or Other Uncontrollable Circumstances - If external circumstances prevent an applicant from travelling to the UK, such as international travel restrictions, a refund may be issued upon review.

Non-Refundable Circumstances for Deposit

Refunds of the deposit will NOT be issued under the following conditions:
  • A visa is refused due to fraudulent documentation, misrepresentation, or nondisclosure of prior refusals.
  • A visa is approved, but the applicant does not travel to the UK or enrol in their programme for the reasons within their control.
  • The applicant has used the CAS to obtain a visa but decides not to enrol.
  • Enrolment has commenced, whether online or in-person, and the applicant subsequently withdraws.
